Tallinna Krematoorium, the first crematorium in the Baltic States, was founded in 1993. It is located at Pärnamäe Cemetery, in the chapel building originally constructed in the 1970s. An addition was made to the building for the crematory. The building has since been updated to house another crematory as well as a second chapel. The chapels have been consecrated and both secular and clerical funerals can be held there.
